Stool voiding disorders are common in old age. Their quantification requires unification of diagnostic criteria. International consensus: ROME III diagnostic form, constipation.
Constipation is defined as a condition where the respondent has at least 2 (two) signs out of 6.

Intervention: n=26, ROME III/2+
Intervention with Zaječická bitter mineral water, 150 ml daily, in the morning on an empty stomach for 6 days, prescribed by the attending physician. From day 7 of the intervention "ad libitum", at the discretion of the probands.

CONCLUSIONS
In half of the seniors, stool emptying disorders can be expected.
Constipation can be expected in almost half of the elderly, according to the ROME III consensus
100% of seniors with constipation can be expected to treat the problems with Zaječická bitter mineral water.
